When you love something you want to share it with the people you’re close to, in this case it’s the wonderful women I work with.

Anticipating some down time at work I packed my travel painting pack and planned to engage my co workers into Painting with Me.   This was a fun experiment for me because I knew whoever painted would love this small respite from the work day. Several were excited and ready to get started while others hid and hoped I wouldn’t ask them to participate.  I  set them up with paper,  paint and pens and watched as they each approached this in their our style, even those who had never painted before.  They laughed and played enjoying the fun of creating something for me to post.  But I could see each one relax and immerse themselves in the moment, letting the art flow through them onto the paper.  I was thrilled to have this opportunity to play with them,  it’s something we don’t do often enough.

With our over scheduled lives we don’t take the time to play.  Painting  helps to heal our body & souls.  Spend some time playing and invite a friend to joy you. Don’t let a day go by where you didn’t have a little fun in it.  Set some time aside and  Paint with Me

  1. What a great idea Lorraine! I’m sure everyone had a lot of fun. You and I both know how important it is to have a creative outlet, even if your job requires you to be creative. It’s different when your doing it for fun. And the ladies all made such great art!

  2. Lorraine, It was so much fun that day painting with you. They all look great . Maybe once a month we can get together and play again……I forgot how nice it was to veg out while painting or drawing….The busy world sort of swallows us up with out us knowing it. It was nice to take that half hour for ourselves. Thank you , Trina
