Day 2 Painting with Lian Quan Zhen

___________________________________________________________

My second day of Lian’s workshop was as exciting as the first. We continued our Chinese painting lessons, tomorrow we start the 3 days of watercolor painting in this 5 day workshop.

When he started his demo and I saw the subject of today’s lesson I was both elated and terrified.  Happy to be painting a scene viewed from underwater,  yet scared of the complexity of the design elements

Here is the start of my painting , you can see the unfinished frog in the lower left, I need to spend many more hours of working this painting until it’s completed.

Everyone had a fun day. We all worked hard and were satisified with the progress of our artwork.. It’s wonderful to see all the artists working on the same subject yet achieving different results.  Here are some of the frogs created by me and my friends.

I amazed myself today by creating artwork that was colorful, dynamic and challenging, yet surprisingly I had the best time. You too can have fun, feeling the joy of being an artist, as you      Paint with Me
