Mountians in the Morning…The Shore in the Afternoon

Waking up in the mountains of Vermont is exhilarating.

The chilling temperatures of the night lay down a crystal frost which evaporates as the sun warms the day.

Inside my screened in porch we can sit, have our morning coffee and watch the daylight lighten up the distant mountains.

On the trails the sun breaks through the density of the forest illuminating the foliage.

Dark shadows stay hidden from the intensity of the sunlight. I love those extremely gloomy areas, they compliment the brightness of the rays of light.

The world shifts into a new atmosphere as we arrive back at the beach by mid afternoon.  Mountains are replaced by panoramic water views, the yellow & greens are replaced with blues & greens.

Even the swans are happy to see us arrive home, they didn’t miss us, they missed the meals of cracked corn I supply daily.

One day, one road trip and two completely different views.

I can view the world from my home in VT at 1400′ above sea level and the same day view it from 14″ above sea level from my home in NY.

As an artist I have an ever-changing panorama to draw inspiration from filling me with endless ideas to add to my art.
