Paint your Holiday/Christmas Cards

___________________________________________________

If you like the idea of sending friends & family an original painting printed on a Christmas card, now is the time to get started. It’s a fun & easy project that anyone can do, you do not have to be an artist. You can plan a play date with your family, gather the kids around a table and play with paints, markers, colored pencils even crayons. You can invite other artists to an afternoon of fun asking each person to design their own images.

I have been entertaining myself, whenever I have a spare moment by, composing little scenes that I feel would make charming note cards.

Here’s a few sample of the artwork I have created.

This should be a fun experience. Look through your collections of old photos to get ideas of winter images you might like to paint. Have the kids draw a family portrait, or use one of their school project drawings. Kids can create so many fun images, even their hand prints in various colors make great note cards.

In my next post I will walk you through the process of getting your art onto a note card, but first you must create the art.

I receive so many cards during the holiday season but the ones I love the most are always the ones handcrafted, individualized and unique.
